SUPERB! This house is absolutely fantastic! We have never stayed anywhere so well equipped before - from ice cream maker to pool inflatables to bags for supermarket shopping via swingball, Dyson sweeper, perfect showers, pestle and mortar (which we used a lot with the herbs growing in the garden!) to the gorgeous swimming pool. The beds were comfy and indoor and outdoor seating was also very comfortable so lounging around was a breeze! It is a peaceful, isolated spot perfect for total relaxation but only a short drive to Cognac which is a lovely town or Saintes which is equally nice. A lovely couple came in to change the beds and treat the pool once a week and were available for any help needed. The pre-visit details pack was informative and the welcome package and folder were great. We needed to visit a doctor for swimmer's ear and information was in the folder, we needed to get our pet's passport stamped etc and the information was in the folder - the owners have truly tried to think of every eventuality and have been very successful in doing so. Thank you for allowing us to use your house - it really is quite something and we have had a wonderful holiday. I've run out of superlatives - this really is a fabulous house and venue for a holiday. AW This property is really lovely and exactly what it said on the tin! Lovely pool and lovely interior, comfy beds and gorgeous garden. All exactly as we expected from the website and super directions. Tony and Penny were extremely helpful owners and also gave us lots of useful info and links before our stay about possibilities for activities. They even sent us a text reminder about the rubbish collection which was most helpful. Even in the blazing heat-wave there were enough shady spots to be comfortable! The instruction manuals were a bit daunting and I was surprised to read that we were to "leave the property exactly as we found it" ( or words to that effect) as we assumed that there would be cleaners coming in between 10 and 4 on departure day. ( which there were) . In fact, what we think was meant is that we were to return all items to their correct place where we had found them. This is quite understandable, but the wording had me quite unnecessarily concerned. I loved the region and the Roman amphitheatre at Saintes is well worth a visit. A great place to stay. Plenty of good quality towels. Wonderful catering facilities. Great area for cycling and experiencing the wine culture.Plenty of pre visit information provided. We will be returning. ES Private and peaceful The house is as well equipped as it can be with plenty of kitchen equipment, plenty of space, a piano and a lovely warm pool. It is private and peaceful with the only noise the farmers tractor who started rather early but not for long. There is a lot to read in the very informative manuals but we still misunderstood the refuse arrangements nonetheless!Beds are very comfortable and the rooms large and airy. Tower fans are supplied which just about kept the heat at bay allowing a good night's rest. We managed the TV once or twice for an hour or so which in other properties has been beyond us!MH Lovely villa, extremely well appointed Lovely villa, extremely well appointed with everything you could possibly need for a very enjoyable holiday. Thoroughly recommend SM Lovely house The house is lovely, it catered for all our needs and has a very comfortable feel. We loved the garden which was in full bloom and had a shady corner for every minute of the day, and that heated pool was just luxury ! The setting with vineyards, woods and wildlife ++ is also very much the sort of environment we like. We have holidayed in France most summers for 40 years and this is the first time we have re- booked a property so that says it all really. DH Relaxing comfortable home from home, idyllic Chez Sibert is the complete solution to a relaxing, comfortable home from home surrounded by glorious countryside. The house is the best equipped rental we have ever stayed in, with the most comprehensive instruction manual I have ever seen. The pool is wonderful and the gardens have areas throughout the day to sit in the shade or sunbathe in the wonderful surroundings. Cannot find a fault with any of the facilities that this idilic property offers. 5*++ AT
